In general, M2M is the communication and exchange of information between machines through network connection, without human intervention. The concept and approaches of M2M is to strengthen the technologies for equipment communication and improve network effectiveness amongst machines. In order to establish reliable wireless connectivity, one of the most important elements needed for all machines are high performance antennas. Currently, there are a lot of wireless communication protocols such as WiFi, Bluetooth, NB-IOT, sub-giga ISM bands, cellular telecommunications, etc. can be used to establish wireless connectivity for networking in M2M applications. Each wireless protocol may have its own specific frequencies for signal transmission and reception. Therefore, there may be multiple antennas that need to be installed in an equipment with various frequencies and produced with different materials and manufacturing processes.
