L1/L2/L5 High accuracy GNSS antenna for high level of 3D positioning accuracies
The Unictron high accuracy GNSS L1/L2/L5 bands antennas are designed for professional marine applications such as bathymetric surveys, dredging, oil platform positioning, and buoys that demand a high level of 3D positioning accuracies. The rugged enclosures also make it suitable for harsh environment installations. High precision positioning data are also needed for various offshore studies, whether on static or movable platforms. Pipeline surveys or marine archeology can be exercised farther from the shore with improved accuracy of positioning data.
While standard GPS antennas working with one frequency band (L1) provide an accuracy within a few meters, multiband GPS signals pinpoint the position within a few centimeters. The availability of additional information from L2/L5 bands also decreases the time needed to fix the position.
